Aiken, S.C. - Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste contractor at the Savannah River Site (SRS), awarded eight SRR Family Scholarships to local graduates, all of whom are children of SRR employees.
At a recent dinner and award reception, the high school seniors each received scholarships of $2,000. They were selected on the basis of leadership, extracurricular involvement, community service, grade point average, and scholastic achievement.
Tom Foster, SRR President and Project Manager, commended the students for their accomplishments and recognized their parents at the reception.
“To the students, continue applying the same focus and hard work you have already displayed in high school during your next steps in college,” Foster said during a dinner held in their honor. “It is truly an honor and a pleasure to award you as a scholarship recipient, and I wish you the best in your upcoming endeavors.”
