Savannah River Remediation Donates $5,000 to Allen University for Scholarships, Renews MOU

Aiken, S.C. - Savannah River Remediation (SRR), donated $5,000 to Allen University in Columbia, S.C., to fund student scholarships.

Tom Foster, SRR President and Project Manager, presented the check to Dr. Ernest McNealey, Allen University Interim President.

SRR and Allen University also renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue strengthening the ties between SRR and the University to help students prepare for careers, particularly in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

Allen University is one of eight South Carolina Historically Black Colleges and Universities.


SRR is the liquid waste contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site. SRR is composed of a team of companies led by AECOM with partners Bechtel National, CH2M, and BWX Technologies. Critical subcontractors for the contract are AREVA, Atkins, and AECOM Technical Services.
