Aiken, S.C. -- Savannah River Remediation (SRR) and Claflin University (CU) in Orangeburg, SC, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to help students prepare for careers, particularly in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
This MOU will help strengthen the ties between SRR and the University.
This MOU includes:
Clafin University is one of eight South Carolina Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
SRR is the liquid waste contractor at the Savannah River Site, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. SRR is comprised of a team of companies led by AECOM with partners Bechtel National, CH2M HILL and Babcock & Wilcox. Critical subcontractors for the contract are AREVA, EnergySolutions and URS Professional Solutions.
